I took my entire class there for lunch the other day. (I did call in advance to let them know) The staff was amazing and very accommodating for my entire group. The servers were on the ball, and the food was amazing!
Terrible...my wife wanted the 12oz chefs special they didn't have any. Said they only have 4-5 a night and once they go that's it. Then I wanted mushrooms and onions on my steak and the mushrooms were the size of a dime the onions were the size of a shoestring and not many at all. We ordered the red potatoes for a side and I got little more than my wife but not many. She literally got 13 small pieces and to top it off...neither of us got RED. They were regular. The steaks we did get were not flavorful and were very dry. It's been a while since we've even gone to Applebee's because it's been going down hill and it will definitely be a very long time before we return if at all. There is no professionalism any more. No unifoms...just shirts but as for pants...wear what you want which us not right. Workers sit and talk, stand around. Sad how the work place has become and Applebee's is sadly quickly becoming one of the worst!!!
In the meantime hostess seated two more parties who came in after us and sat them in booths that were not suppose to exist. When the young man's family came they continue to ignore all of us. Another party came and ask for a booth and the hostess started to seat them. We had enough and told the hostess that we should be next. She seated the young man and then seated us.
Me and my friend went to applebees for dinner at 6:00 pm. The hostess sat a couple of parties ahead of us. When it it came to our turn, she took us to a high back table. When we ask for a booth we were informed that none exist at that time. Mind you i am ovee 60 and my friend just had knee surgery. We told her we would wait. We were seated next to another African American male waiting in the foyer who was also told to wait because he asked for a booth. He commented that they must of forgotten abut him.
NEVER GOING BACK! I don't normally bother writing bad reviews, but the service I received at this location was ridiculous, and it's not the first time! Our visit started out with our booth and table being dirty. (I dismissed it and wiped them myself.)The tablet on the table was sticky and broken, then they brought out a highchair for my daughter that was sticky and had food on it. (I dismissed this as well, since the waitress was polite and took care of it right away.) We ordered coffee, an appetizer, and three burgers WELL DONE . (We stressed this point.) when I cut into mine the juice immediately ran red and the entire inside was RAW, same with the one I ordered to go for my husband. My mother in law never cut into hers because her bacon was black as charcoal. So... We kept my husband's since he's not overly particular and sent the other two back. Mine was fine at this point, but my mother in law's burnt bacon had been replaced with nearly raw bacon. At this point she decided to just give up, and ate nothing. To top everything off, they never checked on our coffee, (we had to ask two different people before getting a refill.) And really I could have gotten past all of this but, the manager was super rude and dismissive. The ONLY thing I can't complain about is that the waitress made up for the management by apologising profusely and ensuring we didn't have to pay for the burgers. ... All in all we only paid for one burger, 2 cups of coffee, and an appetizer, but my mother in law left hungry and the manager acted like a moody teenager. That, combined with the fact that I have had similar issues here before, is enough reason for me to never go back.
Then we waited and waited and waited. No greeting no water no service. We asked who waiter was and the other waitress said Jake, Who had passed our table several times servicing other people. She said she would tell him. Jake never did come by. Rather than take the chance of contaminated food we left.
Wanted to post a public thank you to the Applebee's staff working Christmas Eve. Our waiter was so pleasant and friendly, our food was served promptly, and was delicious. Our whole experience made Christmas Eve with my children and grandchildren a great part of our celebration. Bravo to Applebee's, and a very Merry Christmas to your staff in Sheboygan, Wi.
